Identify the exact pen
Material, coating, curvature and clip position affect the available engraving area. A photograph and product reference help with assessment.
Use clear artwork
Provide vector artwork where possible. Fine lines and small lettering may need simplification at the final size.
Check variable names
Supply names as a checked list, with consistent spelling and capitalisation. Confirm which name belongs on which item.
Agree the proof
Review position and dimensions, and discuss a sample when the material response is uncertain. An engraving mark is not the same as a printed ink colour.
